Didn't stay there but dinner was amazing and the pub was lively. If you are going to eat there and arent staying there make sure to make reservations in advance.
Nice food in good surrounding. View is brilliant on a sunny day.

The photos of Dunard Hostel put me off, I was expecting to be disappointed. But on arrival we were delighted . The lady that runs the hostel made us very welcome , the views from our bedroom window were amazing, the kitchen was big and clean, the living room is spacious and comfortable. Our bedroom was basic but clean and comfortable. I would highly recommend this place. I will be going back.
Amazingly clean and friendly. Close to the ferry with a tremendous view of the bay. Beds were comfortable and warm, kitchen spacious and well supplied, common are charming with a qaint coal stove for amazing warmth and ambiance. Couldnt ask for more.

We came when the kitchen was closing, but they were kind enough as to give us a couple of choices to choose from. I went for the haddock, and my boyfriend for the steak pie. The haddock was amazing. Huge portion, with hand cut chips and peas. The steak pie had lists of flavour, and was served with the same chips peas Both portions were very big and tasty, and we though they had a good value for the money, as you can see the quality of the food. All the people working there were very friendly. We are planning on coming back tomorrow again
Nice hotel with a Fantastic view over the bay. It is easy to find, the food is proper and the staff is very friendly. The rooms are comfortably sized and furnished

I have never been there but Iam from the clan McNEIL and its on my bucket list to go there . I just turned 50 and remember my grandfather telling me story's of the McNEIL'S OF BARRA. Iam not keeping too well at the moment and can afford to go there. But god speed I will get there one day. Is it true about sheep & cattle russlers in the bygone days Iam David

An amazing stay here at harbour cottage, very basic but that's to people's taste just how we like it..stunning views in the sunroom. You've gotta visit to know just how lovely it is
An dog friendly, comfortable house in a stunning location. Very basic so wouldn't be to everyone's taste but this is in a superb location on a beautiful island. It has a sunroom with outstanding views and has everything you could need. Quiet with seals outside your window and sheep on the doorstep and a cheery wave every morning from the local fishermen. Dog friendly. An ideal base to explore the island if you are not looking for an ultra modern cottage but something basic to provide a roof over your head to kick your walking boots off in and light a fire after a days walking and sit back and enjoy the view.
Barra
Barra is wonderful, absolutely stunning scenery. You can walk for miles on the hills or on the beaches. The people are delightful too.
Would have loved to have stayed but nobody took dogs

Highly recommended. Comfortable, clean, friendly and welcoming. Great breakfast. Perfect location and views across harbour and ferry terminal. Always something to watch!
Very nice and recommendable B&B, just a view steps from the harbour where you arrive by ferry. A lovely landlady, newly renovated rooms. Great breakfast with the most fantastic view over the harbour ever. Small, charming village.

Wonderful hosts who couldn't be more helpful. Comfortable and spotlessly clean. Just minutes walk from the shops, pubs, restaurant and ferry terminal.
If you would like something truly different you might like to have a look at Airbnb. These are mostly B and Bs provided by people on a very informal basis. The may have a spare room, a yurt, a cottage or a barge with space they can receive guests for a night or a month! The website is highly professional. You can really see what you are going to get. Very well worth a look. Airbnb also show 'conventional' B&Bs as well. Enjoy!

Fabulous campsite with spectacular views. Excellent facilities always clean and tidy (free showers, Kitchen, washing (£3) and drying machines (£1 for ½ hour), grey and black waste disposal). Stunning beach close by. 2.5 miles from Castle Bay. Donald the owner is very helpful and friendly. Highly recommended.
Facilities for campers are very good. Compact but modern and clean toilet block that has small but well equipped kitchen. Only thing missing is a hob (but has mini-oven). Views are spectacular if you get the weather (which we didn't) and Donald, the owner is a warm, hospitable person (even more so if you ply him with malt whisky!).
